What callers actually ask — and how we answer

Real lines from our 2026 call recordings, trimmed for length, with the answer our Tyler dispatch gives. Names, addresses and payment details removed.

A caller pricing two units for a farm party

“What's your daily rate on these?”

We don't have one. Event units stay up to five business days for one price — dropped Friday, picked up after the weekend.

Aaron Rental Works dispatch

A caller booking a backyard party

“Do I give you the card over the phone or will there be an option for me to pay through the invoice you send me?”

Either. Most people pay by phone and sign the texted invoice with a finger. We never ask for a card number by text or email.

Aaron Rental Works dispatch

A daughter planning a family gathering at Mom's

“We're just trying to keep everybody from going in and out the house.”

That is exactly what one unit does. Add a sink inside and nobody needs the kitchen faucet either.

Aaron Rental Works dispatch

A barndominium owner in a rural lot

“They are coming to start framing tomorrow.”

Order by 2 PM and it is on your pad before the framers. Two months on a 28-day cycle, weekly cleaning included.

Aaron Rental Works dispatch

A store manager during a water-main repair

“I may have to find a company that can guarantee me delivery in the morning.”

Ask us for the 7–11 AM window. We confirm it the afternoon before and route your stop first.

Aaron Rental Works dispatch

A mom gathering quotes for her daughter's party

“I never rented a porta potty in my life.”

Address, date, guest count, spot in the yard. We quote one total and text it to you. That's the whole process.

Aaron Rental Works dispatch

A first-time half-marathon organizer, late for a meeting

“Is there any way… you could just send me that quote via email?”

Always. Every quote is texted or emailed itemized: 12 standard units, 2 accessible, delivery and pickup on one line.

Aaron Rental Works dispatch

A homeowner booking a holiday-weekend unit

“Is it okay for us to put it… because it's our home? Can we put it by the sidewalk?”

Near the curb on your own property, yes. On the sidewalk or street, no — it blocks walkers and draws complaints.

Aaron Rental Works dispatch

A customer the morning after his event

“Whenever you guys want to come pick up the unit, I'm home.”

Noted. Pickup moved up, and the driver called 20 minutes before rolling in.

Red clay, pine limbs & side yards

Where should the porta potty go in an East Texas yard?

Choose flat, firm ground within about 10 feet of where the truck can stop — usually the end of the driveway or beside the garage. After rain, Smith County red clay turns slick, so drivers set units on the driveway edge instead of rutting your lawn. Shade under the pines keeps it cooler and fresher.

  • Watch the limbs. Our trucks need about 12 feet of clearance. Tell us about low pine branches, wires and carports.
  • Respect the clay.Soaked red clay or fresh sod? We stay on the drive and roll the unit the last 30–50 feet on a dolly when the ground is firm.
  • Side of the house, door out.Callers chose “the side of our house” and “where I have a trash can sitting in my yard” — both good spots.
  • Your property, not the sidewalk.Near the curb is fine; on the sidewalk or street is not.

Porta potty questions from Tyler callers

What's your daily rate on a porta potty?

There is no daily rate — Tyler event rentals are priced per event. Aaron Rental Works delivers on a weekday before your event and picks up the next business day, and that whole stay (up to five business days) costs the same as one afternoon. A Saturday birthday and a Friday-to-Monday reunion are the same price.

How much does it cost to rent a porta potty in Tyler, TX?

A standard event porta potty in Tyler costs about $249–$290 all-in, with delivery, setup, cleaning and pickup included. A porta potty with a sink runs about $339–$399, and a flushable unit with a sink about $449–$500. Monthly construction units run about $179–$199 every 28 days plus a one-time $49 delivery.

How much is a porta potty with a sink inside?

A standard porta potty with a built-in hand sink runs about $339–$399 per event in Tyler, delivered and picked up. For a 28-day jobsite rental, a sink unit runs about $279 per cycle with weekly service. It is usually cheaper than renting a standard unit plus a separate hand-washing station.

Do you deliver on Saturday or Sunday?

Weekend events are delivered on Friday and picked up on Monday at no extra charge, so the unit is already set before your first guest arrives. Our trucks run Monday through Friday, with Saturday routes for urgent jobsite calls. The office answers Monday through Saturday, 7 AM–6 PM.

What happens on a holiday weekend like Labor Day or July 4th?

Holiday weekends are the first to sell out in Tyler. We deliver the Friday before and pick up the Tuesday after a Monday holiday, at the regular event price. In our phone log, holiday-weekend callers who waited a day to “check with family” were told the last unit could be gone, so book at least 7–10 days ahead.

Can I get one delivered tomorrow?

Yes, in most of Smith County. Order by 2 PM and the unit arrives the next business day, with no rush fee in our daily-route ZIPs (Tyler, Whitehouse, Lindale, Bullard, Flint, Chandler, Winona, Arp and Troup). Longview, Kilgore, Jacksonville, Canton and Athens run on scheduled route days. Call (903) 230-3888.

Are there fuel surcharges, card fees or removal fees?

Not with us. In our phone log, callers heard about a $35 fuel surcharge, a $29 removal fee charged after pickup, $44–$97 delivery fees on every single unit, and rush fees for next-day. Aaron Rental Works quotes one all-in number: unit, delivery, pickup and service. No fuel surcharge, no card fee, no separate removal fee.

If I rent two units, do I pay delivery twice?

No. We charge one delivery fee per drop, not per unit. A caller pricing two toilets elsewhere was told the $97 delivery fee applied to each unit even on the same truck, which turned $520 into about $700. When your units ride on one truck to one address, you pay delivery once.

How many porta potties do I need for my party?

Plan 1 standard unit per 50 guests for a 4-hour event, 1 per 40 up to 6 hours, and 1 per 30 up to 8 hours, then add one more if alcohol is served. A 40-person party needs one unit. A 100-guest, four-hour event needs two — the same answer a caller got for her 100-guest gathering.

Where should the porta potty go?

Pick a flat, firm spot the truck can reach within about 10 feet, on your property and away from low wires and parked cars. Callers chose “the side of our house,” “next to the shipping container, door side,” and “wherever I have a trash can sitting in my yard.” All three are good choices. Text us a photo with an arrow.

Can I change my delivery date after I book?

Yes — date changes are free any time before the truck leaves the yard. Call or reply to your quote text. Your price stays the same unless you move into a holiday weekend that is already fully booked, in which case dispatch tells you before anything changes.

Are you local?

Yes. Aaron Rental Works runs its trucks from a yard at 2520 E 5th St in Tyler, and dispatch plans Smith County routes every afternoon. You can call the yard at (903) 230-3888 Monday through Saturday, 7 AM–6 PM.
